Fabulous time had by all. Great cottage with everything we all needed. Boys particularly enjoyed 'the dungeon' playroom. Loads of great activities nearby - especially Treetops nets and tree walk. We loved the cakes from the Apple Pie Bakery!

What a cottage and what a week! It truly is a home from home.  Sarah and Richard have thought of everything.  We came away for a much needed break and it was so nice to see how clean everything was – spotless! Weather was excellent – some lovely walks and golf.  Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic 2 weeks in Ambleside, Herdwick Cottage felt like a home from home, we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.  We were lucky to have comfortable weather for lots of walking and also went llama trekking (with Alpacaly every after – not to be missed!).  Thank you for a great stay!

We have been to Ambleside many times and this was our first time at Herdwick Cottage.  It did not disappoint at all.  Mixed weather week, but still managed many lovely walks.  On a very wet day, Jack loved the Wii.  The basement playroom was a huge hit and a big reason for us to come back again.  Extremely comfortable beds too!.  Thank you.
